Vanabhojanam for Vanamali Radha Ramana…

Oh Krishna, we hear that you are coming to Atlanta, your Brindavana…

Come let us go on a picnic to the woods just like old times…The tree under which we played have even more branches…let us have curd rice and swing from branch to branch…

Oh Krishna, we want to surround you with beauty in the woods. We have drawn many types of kolams under the tree…We want to see your lotus foot prints around these kolams…so hop around and dance around Krishna…

We are simple cowherd boys and girls…But you know we have taken refuge under Swami Ramanujar…Our beloved Acharya has taught us how to connect with you Kanna…

We see you arrive in cool bamboo baskets…Swagatham Krishna…We welcome you with Purna Kumbam, Mangala Arathi and Mangala Vadyam…do you hear the nadaswaram ?

Come let us go to the barn…As you get decorated, we will sing your praises and bless you saying Pallandu Pallandu…Reciting Vishnu Sahara namam we sanctify our body and mind to see you Kanna…We know you are alankara priyan. But please don’t take too much time. We are shaking with eagerness to see you dear one…

The curtain seems to be more fortunate than us because they get to see you as you get anointed with fragrant sandalwood paste and adorned with fresh silk garments…How long do we wait Krishna…

Finally the drapes are drawn…what a scene to behold…Udaiayar and two sets of Krishna Rukmini and Satyabhama…one for the Gopas and Gopikas and one for the Gopa Kumaras and Gopika Kumaris…

With alacrity, the Bhagavathas carry Perumal and their entourage to the tree…A mysterious power seemed to envelop the tree…Perumal and Thaayaars, Alwars and Acharyas, Aradhakars and Bhagavathas all under the umbrella of the expansive tree…

Kanna, we are your dear Gopas and Gopikas…bless us the anubhavam of your Kalyana Uthsavam…

The Aradhakar began the event with Mangala Arathi and Maha Sankalpam…Perumal and Thaayaars were protected with Kankanams and Krishna was embellished with Yagnopaveetham…

Oh Krishna, we hear your pravaram where they speak about the greatness of you and your family…we wonder if it is really you that we played with…

Krishna, Rukmini and Satyabhama are anxious to get close to their children…So there will be two separate processions…one by the adult Bhagavathas and one by the Bala Bhagavathas…

Oh Krishna, we see how Garuda carries you…he lifts you with pride and humility, grace and prowess too…with blessings from Vedanta Desikar, we meditate on you Garuda…bless us the desire to serve the Lord just like you…

We are your own dear friends Krishna…we are enjoying your procession so much…do you see our frenzied state…we want to imitate the characters of your life…some of us are even dressed like you…we have a variety of seer for your Kalyanam…. What pleases you Krishna…we have garments, ornaments, peacock feathers and fans…

So Krishna, you are on one side and Thaayaars are on the other side…let the competition begin…we will play with no restraint…Let us see who wins the tug of war…Is it the bride side or is it the groom side…

Oh Krishna you don’t have to win all the time…don’t you want to loose to the beauty of Rukmini and Satyabhama…We want you and your consorts to exchange garlands and see beauty being tossed….

Now that you are with your favorite consorts…we want to swing you softly…are you enjoying the gentle swaying motion. We will carry you back to the stage for some more wedding ceremonies….how blessed are we to watch the Mangalyadhaaranam…and Nalangu too…the recitation of Varanamaayiram brings before our eyes the fond dream of Andal marrying you…

We enjoyed your wedding ceremony and relished your prasaadhams too…it is about time we experience Vanabhojanam…

The sun shines brilliantly, the tree smiles coyly and we are immersed blissfully in your company…We offer you 108 varieties of fruits, nuts, sweets and savories..We offer you curd rice and different types of pickles too…We see you seated happily under the tree…What do you want to eat Krishna… Do you want a morsel of curd rice ? Can you hold curd rice in your hand and keep the pickles in between your fingers and eat like you used to… Do you want these wild berries that we picked just for you…how about these tasty bakshanams….We offer them to you with tender love Kanna…

Come let us dance to the tunes of Vanamali Radha Ramana…

Through songs, drama and dance, we recall the story of your birth and the many childhood pranks…The sight of your lotus feet dancing on the serpent head of Kaliya is etched in our minds…Now we see something that is even more glorious…We see you seated on the serpent Adisesha….Seeing you in Seshavahanam is such a splendid sight Krishna…We want to have one more procession for you in Seshavahanam…

Our Acharya is quietly enjoying the proceedings all day long…delighted to see his disciples perform kainkaryams with love and devotion…

Oh Swami please lead us in the procession…

The divine procession marched forward with soothing Desikar’s sthothrams, nectarine Divyaprabandham and energetic Vedic chants…

The entire site seemed to be blessed and pervaded with a sense of ultimate peace and joy…

All we want to do is to hang on to the melodious murmurs of your Nama sankeerthanam…

Krshna Krishna Mukunda Janardhana…Krishna Govinda Narayana Hari…

Sarvam Krshnaarpanam…
